Kulakane Resort is a West Maui vacation rental property, located just a few miles north of historic Lahaina Town. Each oceanfront condo at the Kulakane Resort is unique because it was furnished and decorated by its individual owner. Individually decorated, each condominium offers a complete kitchen, free cable TV and free local telephone.

Kulakane Resort offers beautiful and affordable West Maui vacation rentals. All of the condos at the Kulakane Resort are located beachfront and offer a direct ocean view. We combine all the comforts of home and make Kulakane Resort your Home away from Home in paradise.

Kulakane Resort owners typically stay in their own units for at least a month or two each year, so they furnish their condominiums more like homes than vacation rentals.

  Traveled to Maui to celebrate our 37th anniversary by returning to the Kulakane, where we had last traveled on our honeymoon. We enjoyed an absolutely wonderful stay. We were greeted by a very personal and thoughtful welcome, an extraordinarily gracious and accommodating management team (Debbie and Tony) and, a perfect first-floor waterfront unit with an awesome lanai; exactly what we had looked forward to for our get away.

  Stayed in 2007 for 25th Anniversary and was fantastic from the second floor condo to sitting on the wall watching turtles and sunsets. Move ahead to 2022 40th Anniversary. We were warned about three weeks prior of some landscaping to be done and because it was not started yet might happen while we were there. Gave us a discount of $500 for the inconvenience. What we saw was huge equipment in the space between the ocean and condos obstructing views of ocean etc. We found 5 dead roaches in bedroom and bathroom. We also killed 7 over a short 3 day period most after a can a bug killer was applied by caretakers and said they would contact Terminex. We did not see any evidence of their arrival. Caretakers said the roaches were due to landscaping but visitors on either side of us saw NO roaches. Major disappointment for our anniversary. One positive was the central location for accessing Lahaina and Kaanapali.

  I rented a 1 br unit on the ground floor. Theunit was well furnished and had all the necessities for cooking. The furniture was comfortable; the table was big enough to work from; especially for me as I worked remote one week and use two laptops. Bed was very comfortable. Even during tye heat of the afternoon tye ceiling fan plus cross breeze from patio to front door was very comfortable.
  The view can’t be beat and tye location is the best. Can walk to the park; coffee and an easy drive to other restaurants and areas. I especially like how spacious the parking lot is compared to other buildings.
  The staff and other guests are very friendly and helpful.

  This was my third time at The Kulakane. I wouldn't stay anywhere else on Maui. There was seawall repair going on this time, but management offered me a discount to compensate for the partially blocked view. I was completely happy with my stay.

  A very quiet comfortable place. People were very nice and we had a wonderful time. View is fantastic and we saw lots of whales which you can observe from the patio of the unit. We were concerned when we found out there was no air conditioning in the unit but with the wonderful breeze it was not needed. We loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation.

  Very quiet unit. Great views of ocean. Saw turtles and whales right off seawall. No beach, but then all West Maui beaches are shrinking. There is a small beach you can walk to about a mile north. Easy stroll to Farmer’s Market which is great!

  We were swimming with turtles within 15 minutes of checking in. The only thing I'd change is add an AC unit as it felt like I couldn't escape the heat something to keep in mind if you have children or any health conditions.

  The view outside of the window is as advertised - especially the sunset. Just sit in the courtyard and relax! Unfortunately, you can not access the beach directly. For that you can just walk to state park a few minutes away
  
  The room is well maintained with all the beach and water sport accessories you need. There is laundry on site and ABC stores within walking distance.
  
  I had a great time staying at Kulakane. The only issue I had was the WiFi was broken and unfortunately it was not fixed during my 3 day stay there.
