West Maui Welcomes You Back! Our communities of Ka'anapali, Honokowai, Kahana, Napili and Kapalua; we all welcome you. Please have compassion and malama (care for) the island during your visit. Please stay away from Lahaina Town while it heals and rebuilds.

Welcome to Kulakane 209. our slice of paradise. Here you will have unlimited views of spectacular sunsets framed by views of Lanai' and Molokai'. See turtles and dolphins feeding and playing in the reefs in front of the complex, and whales breach, during their season, on your private double size (152 sq. ft.) lanai. We have direct ocean access for snorkeling and swimming (depending on the weather and tide conditions) along with a quiet pool and many lounge chairs. A small beach is just feet away to the left.

Ceiling fans are located in the bedroom and living room to help the trade winds keep you cool. There are two gas BBQ's available for your use. Free off street parking is provided as well as all the linens and towels, including beach towels. There is a beautiful laundry room located near the office (which has a great free lending library in case you forgot your book.)

Each sunset, the sun is wished a speedy return with a traditional blowing of conch shells on our seawall. Every Friday, there is a no host "pupu" party by the pool where guests mingle and share favorite adventures and swap recommendations for dining, beaches and the other great Maui activities.

Once you stay at Kulakane, you will return many times.

NOTE: the presence of a small beach directly in front of the property depends upon multiple weather and tide conditions and, thus, cannot be guaranteed year-round.

We had an extremely pleasant stay at Kulekane 209 and would definitely come back. The apartment is very spacious, has modern furniture and a well stocked kitchen. The built in A/C made it very convenient on hot days. The balcony is large and offers a gorgeous view. The property management was very friendly and professional.

Large, comfortable and well equipped unit. Comfortable furniture. Small friendly place to stay with GREAT management team Debbie and Tony who are there to help you in anyway they can. They are a great asset to the Kulakane. New barbecues. Close to bus route that is excellent. Good snorkelling out front with access to beaches on either side. Lots of sea turtles to see out front during the day. Saw lots of whales in the distance while sitting out front.

We loved our stay here. It sits right on the ocean so we were able to watch the sea turtles and the dolphins every morning. Such a great location. We had just a few steps from great snorkeling and the beach. The condo was plenty big and perfect for us as a couple or a family. We loved having the kitchen and would cook most meals there and splurged on dinner. You have a front row to amazing sunsets. We loved the people that worked there. Everyone was super friendly. We want to go back asap. We loved every second there.

What a lovely spacious place. It is a great location with fabulous views of the ocean. Being on the second floor was great for letting in the sounds of the ocean yet still having privacy. It appears the unit has been mostly remodeled. Everything looks fresh, clean and modern. The queen bed was very comfortable plus there was a murphy bed in the family room for extra guests or for sleeping close to the ocean. The walk-in shower was wonderful. It was nice to have beach chairs to use at the numerous beaches close by. Nick and Ashley made great recommendations of things to do and places to eat. Debbie was very welcoming and helpful if we needed anything. Toni was spot on keeping the place nice looking all the time. We will definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing time during our stay at the Kulakane #209. None of our group had ever been to Hawaii before. When we showed up there was a welcome note with a box of chocolate covered macadamia nuts on the table. We immediately felt very welcome. The unit was in clean condition, with views that were out of this world. We could have sat the patio everyday all day. We can’t wait to go back!

We had a wonderful time at this condo in Maui. It was centrally located between all of our favorite beaches and gave us a comfortable landing place at the end of each fun filled day. We loved the convenience of having beach chairs, a cooler and floats to use. The kitchen was stocked and made for easy meal preparation. The beds were comfortable, even the Murphy wall bed which we chose to sleep on because of the awesome water views from the front room. The furnishings are beautiful and new which we really appreciated. There was construction going on at the building which may have bothered us if we were home during the day. But we were up and at it early each day so it wasn't a problem. It was an older building but well maintained. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here for our next trip to Maui.

Was pleased with size of room and beautiful view. Even though property is off busy road, you feel private and away from crowds.
The view is amazing. You are on the shoreline. Sunsets are the best from here.
Room was very clean, and had everything we needed. There is no AC, but ceiling fans and breeze from ocean made room comfortable.
Large deck to enjoy dinners and lounging.
No barbeque on deck. Would have liked that.
No washer and dryer in unit. Would like that, especially if staying longer. The unit was cute, some would say, "out dated", but we didn't mind. Cleaners used a spray, like febreeze, I didn't enjoy. Aired out room to get rid of smell.

Our stay at the Kulakane was excellent. The management staff does a great job of seeing that guest meet other guests and socialize if they want to, or not socialize depending on your preference. We have stayed at other resorts and found the Kulakane the friendliest resort by far. We have met many people at the Kulakane that we remain in contact with. Debbie does a great job of seeing that everything is right with the accommodations. The unit we stayed in was beautiful and was an extra-wide unit.

We were pleasantly surprised with this rental. It's safe to say the pictures didn't do it justice. We enjoyed whale watching from the deck, watching sea turtles by the sea wall, and relaxing with a nice ocean breeze. The place was clean, quiet, and exactly what we were looking for.

Overall we loved the room and the location. Great view of the water from the balcony. The living area was spacious and the kitchen was very well-equipped. A couple of suggestions: 1) Put a curtain on the glass bedroom window to block out the light from outside, and 2) make the ceiling fan kitchen light in the sink area brighter.

This a very quiet place in the world. You seem to be alone with the ocean waves and breeze, however, there are other guests; whales, turtles, birds, and oh yes other people. We stayed for 10 days in this wonderful place, sitting on the lanai watching the whales, looking at beautiful Molokai across the water. Morning coffee there, then a visit to a nearby beach, or a swim in the sweet little pool. then turtle watching from the sea wall. Ocean waves and a breeze at night made for peaceful sleep. Close to great restaurants, or you can cook in.
