Kulakane Resort is a West Maui vacation rental property, located just a few miles north of historic Lahaina Town. Each oceanfront condo at the Kulakane Resort is unique because it was furnished and decorated by its individual owner. Individually decorated, each condominium offers a complete kitchen, free cable TV and free local telephone.

Kulakane Resort offers beautiful and affordable West Maui vacation rentals. All of the condos at the Kulakane Resort are located beachfront and offer a direct ocean view. We combine all the comforts of home and make Kulakane Resort your Home away from Home in paradise.

Kulakane Resort owners typically stay in their own units for at least a month or two each year, so they furnish their condominiums more like homes than vacation rentals.

  Unfortunately, the unit we started in is in desperate need of updating. Everything is way past its prime. There are a couple lamps that don't work at all, plug in bathroom didn't work but onsite managers got it fixed for us right away. There isn't anything in the unit that is new or updated. Due to construction above us, we were moved to another unit for the last 4 nights and it was so much better.

  The condo itself was fine. Even though we were told of some landscaping projects was still in progress, it was disappointing to see how much in progress it was. At one point we couldn’t use the pool or sit on the deck. We woke up to a Catipillar crane in front of our window, not the ocean view we expected. Dirt was everywhere. Had I known the full extent of the work in progress we would not have stayed. Debbie the manager offered us a 30% discount, it should have been a 50 % discount since we could not take full benefit of the property. I felt bad for Debbie. Something I also need to mention the number of extension cords used to provide electrical power to the appliances is dangerous.

  This was our third stay at the Kulakane, and by far the least comfortable of the three. One night, we had a domestic dispute going on in the condo next to us, that started at 10:30 and continued until 1:00 am. Yelling and cursing at one another, doors slamming, crying and screaming, and finally ended with what sounded like a gun shot. And then the ants were really annoying.

  All units at Kulakane which have numbers starting with "1" are at ground level which gives access to the lawn as an extra space. Though the very roomy and the kitchen is fully equipped including sugar, spices, and sauces. People are very friendly, and Debbie as an administrator is superb and extremely helpful.

  The apartment is great, has all the things you need for a comfortable stay whether you want to cook at home or dine out, also has equipment to borrow if you plan to go to other beaches, friendly staff and maintenance people, residents also friendly and some gatherings every week if you want to join in. Has it’s own little beach but many Good beaches nearby, only downside is that the morning sun is a bit late but that is overwhelmingly compensated by the beautiful sunsets, all in all great stay!

  Okay, I'll keep it short, but that's going to be hard.
  
  This place was absolutely PERFECT! The view, condo, pool, weather, atmosphere, neighbors, the Pupu Party on Friday, the bed, the couch... I would buy this place if it were for sale.
  
  I have ZERO negative things to say about this place, in fact I don't even have suggestions for improvement.
  
  I brought my parents, and dad (stroke victim) in a wheelchair had no problems getting around. We are in love this this location, and everything was easy to book and the on-site employees were great and simple to get along with.

  I needed a one night accommodation while awaiting our long term condo. The price and location were right so decided to try. The manager was extremely helpful in making sure all was ready for a later check in. The unit has a lovely view, is very clean but is tiny..not for me but for many would be great. Entrance is a bit dark as it is behind a short wall. Complex is friendly and welcoming and I am sure we would have enjoyed a longer stay. No access to a beachfront would prevent a longer booking but again, would not. Matter to many. Great location for markets etc. Unit needs a bit of a facelift but nothing that would compromise a stay.

  This was our second time at the Kulakane and this condo was the best between those two stays and our family who were in another condo. The first floor was nice to have the patio right to the grass and the furniture and layout of the condo was very comfortable. I'd stay in this unit again!
